Student or business, at some point you will need pieces of text to be proofed. Everyone makes mistakes and that's why this service applies to everyone. Proofreading entails the following: checking spelling, grammar and punctuation; ensuring a consistent style, checking for inconsistencies, ambiguities and suggesting improvements or changes without making the amendments for you. We provide quick turn-around times dependent on word length (within 24 hours for up to 10,000 words) and can proofread anything from essays, books and personal statements to application forms and letters.

How it Works

Hiring us for proofreading is quick and easy.

Submit your work
Simply complete the form below (attaching your work in the field provided) and click submit. Our website will acknowledge receipt and you should receive an automated email for your records.
Confirm details and accept quote
One of our representatives will review the job and send you an email to quote the price and turn-around, and to obtain any further details if necessary. We will start work as soon as we receive your confirmation.
Send payment
We will send you an invoice via email containing a link to the payment pages; all major debit/credit cards are accepted. As soon as payment is cleared you will receive an email with two copies of the work attached; one highlighting all the corrections using Microsoft Word's Track Changes feature and the other with all corrections accepted – ready to read, send or hand in.

Pricing and Turn-around

Proofreading is charged at the flat rate of 0.5 pence per word.
To cover administrative costs, there is a minimum charge of £5.00.

^†Please note that our working hours are 9:00 to 21:00 Monday to Friday; the time quoted only applies during these hours (e.g. a 24-hour job submitted on Friday at 18:00 may be completed by 18:00 the following Tuesday). You may submit work at any time but may not receive a reply out of hours.
